AIT

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is an international postgraduate institution established in 1959 with a mission to support the growing need for advanced engineering education in Asia. AIT has been working closely with public and private sector partners on the promotion of technological change and sustainable development in the region through advanced higher education, research, capacity building and outreach. AIT has 1700+ students from 60+ countries/territories, 75 internationally recruited Faculty from 20+ Countries, and  500+ Research and Support Staff from 30+ countries.  AIT is world’s joint top rank in international orientation – according to u-multi rank’s 2016 institutional ranking. AIT was also awarded 5-star rating by QS world ranking for internationalization, teaching and facility.  AIT has conducted approximately 450 sponsored research projects worth 1.6 Billion Thai Baht (THB). A few examples of Erasmus Mundus projects are “EuroAsia” (11 universities – 6 from EU), “Bridging the Gap” (17 universities – 6 from EU), “PANACEA program” (20 partners- 10 from EU).

Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) is a department in School of Engineering and Technology (SET). Since its inception, the focus of the department has always been on responding to current needs and future trends for industry to be competitive and has committed to prepare qualified engineers with high-tech knowledge for supporting sustainable industrial development of the region. ISE has worked closely with industry and university partners both in Thailand and aboard. ISE has been active in conducting R&D projects, training industry and organizing workshops and international conferences. Six areas of specializations in ISE are Industrial Engineering and Management, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Microelectronic and Embedded Systems, and Nano Technology. ISE offers various degree programs: Doctoral degree, Regular Master’s degree, Professional master’s degree, Diploma and Certificate.
