ReCap 4.0 was introduced to Industrial Technology faculty members at Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University.
On April 1, 2021, Dr. Pisut visited the faculty of Industrial Technology at Nakhon Si Thammasat Rajabhat University to promote our MSIE 4.0 and ReCap 4.0 projects and invite the faculty members to participate in our competence development training program.

ReCap 4.0 was well received at the 31st meeting of the Council of the Industrial Technology Deans of Rajabhat Universities.
On March 23, 2021, Dr. Pisut Koomsap, the project coordinator, attended the 31st meeting of the Council of the Industrial Technology Deans of Rajabhat Universities to introduce our two Erasmus+ projects: MSIE 4.0 and ReCap 4.0. He extended an invitation to all the deans to send their faculty members to participate in our Competence Development Training Program. At the end of his presentation, the council endorsed our training program. Furthermore, the council kindly nominated one Rajabhat university to be our center for training activities in the northern part of Thailand, which will allow us to have training centers in all regions to ease accessibility for our participants to the activities.
On this occasion, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Council of the Industrial Technology Deans of Rajabhat Universities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichai Vannpech, Asst. Prof. Weera Natratip and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Benchalak Muangmeesri.
Last Friday, ReCap 4.0 hosted a visit of a research team from the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), led by Dr. Chai Wutiwiwatchai, Executive Director, and Dr. Panita Pongpaibool, Deputy Executive Director. On this occasion, Dr. Pisut presented the two Erasmus+ projects and the Learning Future Factory Laboratory. He also shared with the team the research activities of his A-Cube Research Group. According to the fruitful discussion, both parties share common interests leading to a potential close collaboration in the near future.
Our consortium was honored by Dr. Eden Y Woon, the president of Asian Institute of Technology, for his welcome remark during the first project general meeting.

On the first day of the general meeting, ReCap 4.0 members got together to learn more about the project. In addition to the presentation by Dr. Pisut Koomsap (PC) and Dr.Rui M. Lima (WP1 Leader), the members had an opportunity to learn more about our target group under the topic “Strengthening Rajabhat Universities, Local Driving Mechanism, for Sustainable Growth of Thailand.” from our two guest speakers: Prof. Piya Kovintavewat, Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, and Dr. Dawarit Tansuphasiri, Executive Vice President, Loxley Public Company Limited.

Yesterday, ReCap 4.0 welcomed visitors from Autoflexible Advanced Engineering Co., Ltd, an industrial automation system provider in Thailand. Mr. Kwanchai Smitakarnchana (Managing Director) and Mr. Nattawat Siripatanaroje paid a visit to learn more about our project activities. Dr. Pisut, the coordinator, introduced our L2F Laboratory to our visitors, shared with them our ReCap4.0 activities, and extended an invitation to them to join us as an associated partner. Mr. Kwanchai expressed the interest of the company in support of our competence development program.

Today partner and workpackage leaders got together for the first project executive committee (PEC) meeting to go over the project. Workpackage meetings will be called soon before an upcoming general meeting next month. ✨✨✨
ReCap 4.0 consortium composes eight partner universities: five from Thailand and three from Europe. Six partners are from the former MSIE 4.0 consortium, and two new members are Mary Immaculate College from Ireland and Mahidol University from Thailand. King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) will be the eighth member to join the consortium.

MSIE 4.0 hands a baton to ReCap 4.0 to continue a mission of strengthening engineering and technology education in Thailand to support a sustainable smart industry.
Time flies. MSIE 4.0 journey began three years ago from a simple dream that we can make a difference for Industrial Engineering programs in Thailand to support a sustainable smart industry. Season after season through these three years, MSIE 4.0 consortium, six partner universities in Thailand and three partner universities from Europe, have collaborated relentlessly to develop a new curriculum, new courses, and a laboratory as well as to adopt active learning for effective teaching and learning. The simple dream has become tangible fruitful outcomes in our reach.
MSIE 4.0 that has focused on the development of the resources covering educational programs, materials, and facilities will become ReCap 4.0 that will focus on human resource development.
Dr. Pisut Koomsap, the MSIE 4.0 project coordinator, submitted a winning proposal on Reinforcing Non-University Sector at the Tertiary Level in Engineering and Technology to Support Thailand Sustainable Smart Industry (ReCap 4.0) to the 2020 Erasmus+ program call for proposal. It is the dissemination of the outcome of the MSIE 4.0 project.
ReCap 4.0 is a three-year joint capacity-building project between five universities representing of Thailand and three EU partner universities proposed to enhance the capacity and ability of the non-university sector at the tertiary level in Thailand for the effective delivery of engineering and technology knowledge and skills related to Industry 4.0 to support Thailand sustainable smart industry and to strengthen a partnership among participating European and Thai universities as well as benefited non-university sector. ReCap 4.0 that is worth 989,888.00 Euro was one of 164 selected proposals from 1005 applications and was the only selected one to be led by a university from Thailand.
